Attendance interpretation
The interpreter meets in person with the parties who are to have a conversation. The dialog is interpreted continuously and the interpreter reproduces what is said immediately after the speaker has spoken. Being present gives the interpreter access to non-verbal expressions and makes communication between the parties easier.
Telephone interpreting
In cases where time and distance prevent in-person interpreting, telephone interpreting is a fast and cost-effective alternative. More interpreters will be available for urgent assignments as interpreters in other parts of the country will be able to assist regardless of travel distance. In some cases, telephone interpreting will be preferable to safeguard the anonymity of the parties involved.
Screen and video interpretation
Screen interpreting is a good solution when neither face-to-face nor telephone interpreting meets the need for the interpreted conversation. Via screen interpreting, the parties can see each other and the interpreter can be ready at short notice. Screen interpreting is a more cost-effective solution and a big saving for the environment as there is no need for transportation. The integrated video solution in our CRM system makes correspondence with meeting links superfluous.
Document interpretation
If you urgently need to know the content of a document, primavista interpreting can be the quickest solution. An interpreter will read the document and interpret (orally) the content into the language you need. This can be done either by phone, screen or in person.
Conference interpretation
In connection with joint meetings and courses, there may be a need for non-stop interpreting. In these cases, you can safeguard the quality of the interpretation and save time by using simultaneous interpretation. The interpretation will then take place almost at the same time as the speaker is speaking. Simultaneous interpreting reproduces what is being said with little delay. If there are few listeners, the interpreter can whisper, but when interpreting for larger groups, the use of interpreting equipment is necessary.
Theory test interpretation
TolkeNett is approved by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and offers screen interpretation of the theory part of the driving test. Our interpreters can also assist with face-to-face interpretation of the conversation before and after the practical driving test if required.
