Our mission is to bridge language and cultural barriers to create understanding and inclusion in society. In short, our goal is for everyone to be understood. It is a human right. We want everyone to have access to information, guidance and, not least, to be heard, regardless of language and background. TolkeNett is aware of its social responsibility. We work continuously to ensure that everyone receives equal help and support. This is a cornerstone of our business, and we recognize the opportunity we have to contribute to an inclusive society.
Our commitment to the interpreting profession begins with our history. It started when the Hafzullah sisters decided to start an interpreting agency by and for interpreters in 2003. They understood the importance of quality of service, while safeguarding the interpreters. We are proud to have grown from a small company in a small office with room for two to become Norway's largest and fastest provider of interpreting services.

TolkeNett complies with the Transparency Act, which requires us to actively collect information from our suppliers and share our work with the public. In 2022, the Transparency Act was introduced to ensure good working conditions and that supplier chains respect human rights.
The Act promotes respect for fundamental rights and decent working conditions, and requires transparency about how this work is carried out.
